Cleveland Clinic and the government and people of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced a new partnership that will bring high-quality, academic medicine to Abu Dhabi and the Middle Eastern region. Scheduled to be operational in 2012, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD) will include a 360-bed (expandable to 490) multi-speciality tertiary center and an adjacent 324-exam room clinic.
Specific clinical components of the project include: Surgery with (24) OR's, (66) PACU's, (48) Pre-Op's; (1) MRI/OR; (12) Interventional Hybrid Rooms; Cath Lab with (6) Suites; Imaging with (3) MRI's; (4) CT Scans; (5) Gen Rad & Fluoro, (3) Ultrasound's & (1) Invasive, (3) Nuclear Medicine (1) PET/CT, (1) SPECT/CT, 1 Stress Test; Non Invasive Diagnostics with (18) Exam Rooms; Emergency with (28) Treatment Rooms. This facility will serve local and international patients in a seven-star environment that combines excellent amenities with world-class medical care.
The hospital will be a unique and unparalleled extension of the
Cleveland Clinic model, providing a spectrum of specialty services designed to cater to the healthcare needs of Abu Dhabi and the
region.
The hospital is
being designed to take advantage of the latest technologies in surgery,
imaging, telemedicine and electronic medical records.Genesis Planning was

The Methodist Hospital System

The Methodist Hospital System
announced plans Nov. 9 for a new 192-bed hospital and imaging center to
serve residents in west Houston.
The new community hospital, which will be the fourth in the Methodist
System, will feature 14 operating rooms, a breast center, radiation
therapy, labor and delivery services, and other services. It will
include several centers of excellence from the Texas Medical Center,
including cancer, heart, and orthopedic services. An emergency
department, with the capacity to treat more than 30,000 patients
annually, and imaging capabilities, will also be a part of the hospital.
Genesis was named the member of the design team to
provide complete medical technology planning and procurement services. |
