Our clientele and experience includes over 300 healthcare organizations in 40 states and 17 countries throughout Central and South America, and Europe. Our service lines include Facility Planning, Strategic and Operational Planning, Business Development and Medical Technology Planning.

As health facilities have grown in complexity, their planning requirements have demanded an increased integration of architecture and technology. Recogonizing this trend and seeking to meet the complex needs of our clients, Genesis initiated the development of an industry leading project delivery process. Our integrated Project Workstreams Dashboard elevated our planning and designing capabilities, and our firm's functional components of Best Practices, Technology Trends, Change Management, REVIT Innovations and Project Management has allowed us to become a leader in our field.

We are able to provide our services with additional breadth of facilities issues, design insight and project delivery through a staff of over 20 planners in 3 offices - Houston, Dallas and Lake Como, New Jersey.

As technology continues to evolve, it has a direct impact on clinical operations as well as the design of the overall space it occupies. Genesis is routinely  requested to take proactive involvement in the design of highly specialized clinical areas that involve the integration of different technologies.

We work with various manufactures, clinicians and project architects on the design of Interventional Cath Labs; Integrated Operating Suites; Hybrid OR's and other evolving clinical settings. Our efforts for technology integration have included Imaging (Fluoro, X-ray, MR, Ultrasound), Image Guided Systems, Interactive Video, Medical Gases, Utility Arms and Lighting, and PACS and Data/Communications.

Strategic Thinking

Genesis provides planning services that support Master Facility Plans for hospital facilities. Management needs to understand not only the cost of new equipment related to a proposed facility plan but also any costs associated with the need to upgrade their current technology base.

We work with the architects and hospital management to developed 5-year capital plans on both a departmental and hospital wide basis. This analysis takes into account future trends, new clinical services, recommended replacements and/or technology enhancements.

With this insight, management is able to better prioritize the individual projects within the Master Plans and initiate proactive planning of their hospitals’ capital expenditures.  

Innovative Planning

Genesis has innovated the Design Development work sessions for projects utilizing the simultaneous screen projections of CAD drawings and equipment listings. All participants agree that this methodology greatly enhances the completion of the design process.

These reviews often cover more than 500,000 square feet; 40 Departments and over $50 million in medical equipment.

This interactive effort allows hospital personnel to actually suggest and view real-time changes made to their room layouts and the selection and location of a space’s equipment.

At the end of our planning sessions, our equipment listings and budget projections were up to date and coordinated with the architect’s drawings.
