Planning is currently seeking qualified applicants for the following
positions:
Senior Medical Technology Planner - Involved in consulting, programming, planning and coordinating the medical equipment requirements of hospital projects. Identifies medical equipment requirements working with healthcare professionals through user group meetings and planning work sessions. Coordinates medical equipment specification information from vendors with design team members including architects, engineers and other consultants for the completion of construction documents. Responsible for preparing reports, schedules, location drawings and documents and budgets for the planned equipment. Essential
Duties & Responsibilities: Ÿ Evaluate a project’s needs and develop recommendations for equipment to be utilized in construction projects for medical facilities. Ÿ Provide equipment specifications, utility requirements information, and related considerations during the design process to insure the correct development of final construction documentation. Ÿ Develop
and update budgets for project medical equipment requirements. Qualifications: Bachelors degree with a minimum of 3 years of equipment planning experience, ideally with project management experience. Clinical background involving nursing, purchasing, biomedical engineering or other clinical specialties given strong consideration. Significant understanding of medical equipment and hospital environment. Strong communication skills and proven ability to interact with healthcare professionals and clients. Knowledge of current medical equipment technology. Understanding of architectural and design schedules and the ability to coordinate equipment programming with building design and construction. Computer proficiency required, including spreadsheets and databases. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to manage multiple projects. Knowledge of the construction industry is a plus. Some travel will be required.
Essential
Duties & Responsibilities: Ÿ
Identify
equipment specifications, utility requirements information, and related
considerations during the design process to insure the correct
development of final construction documentation. Ÿ Makes changes to equipment listings, developed from meetings with medical personnel into a project's database. Ÿ Communicate related information between Genesis' project and procurement teams. Ÿ
Revise
project equipment lists according
to clients' established standards and guidelines. Ÿ Coordinate equipment requirements with purchasing documentation and vendor coordination. Ÿ Track purchased equipment with the project schedule to insure timely delivery and installation of items. Ÿ
Perform
other duties as needed.
Computer proficiency required, including spreadsheets and databases. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to manage multiple projects. Knowledge of the construction industry desired. Travel may be required.
Procurement Specialist – Under the general supervision of the Procurement Manager, this position investigates and procures medical products and equipment for a project’s specific requirements. This would include soliciting quotes and coordinating purchasing information for the final procurement of a project’s specific medical equipment. Responsible for logging, checking and processing invoices. Involved in the coordination of equipment information between all Genesis planners, warehouse and delivery functions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: · Review projects' equipment requirements to determine compliance with Genesis and/or hospital standards. · Consult and verify equipment requirements with Medical Equipment Planners and client. · Contact vendors to obtain accurate pricing, formal quotes and product information for manager's approval. · Advises Planners as to cost, value, and availability of items. · Prepare project Capital Requisitions and supporting paperwork according to a project timeline for manager's approval. · Create purchase orders in company's procurement system and place approved orders with vendors using established procedures. · Review vendor backorder reports and initiate necessary notifications to team. · Maintains lead time log on internet database. · Prepare project equipment variance reports for the Planners' review. · Assist with the preparation of equipment deliveries schedules from warehouse to project jobsites, based on move-in timelines. · Manage the logging, verification and close-out of all project related invoices.
Qualifications PC literacy is required with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
